These
tips will help you with your search on the
Find
A Retreat page.
Each
retreat center listed in our directory is categorized by retreat
types.
Retreats
can be listed under several different retreat types.
There
are two types of searches you can perform. |
Type,
Location and/or Key Word:
To
search for a Specific Retreat Type:
Select
from the "Type" pull down menu and then click:
"Search
by Type, Location and/or Key Word".
To
search by State or Province:
Select
from the "Location" pull down menu and then click:
"Search
by Type, Location and/or Key Word".
To
search for a Specific word in the retreat description:
Enter
a single key word or phrase in the "Key Word" box then click:
"Search
by Type, Location and/or Key Word".
Make
sure all words are spelled correctly. Use root/base words whenever possible.
Any
combination of these three searches can be used. |
Retreat
Name
To
search for a Specific Retreat Name:
Enter
as few as one letter that the retreat center you are looking for begins
with.
Hint:
keep it short to eliminate possible spelling errors.
Then
click "Search by Name".
|
Keep
your search simple to begin with then add more search terms.
If
you do not find a category (for which you are searching) in our retreat
types choices,
select
"All
Types" and include the specific category name in the "Key Word"
box.
Example: To find a ranch, select "All Types" and put the word "Ranch"
in
the "Key Word Search" box.
Look
at our category definitions by clicking on the Retreat Type [definitions].
These
definitions may give you ideas of key words to use during a search.
Use
the ‘Search Again’ option when intending a new search (on the ‘Search
Results’ screen)
vs.
the computer's back button. This will clear all previous search criteria.
If
you do not want to reset the previously selected search criteria, use the
computer's back button.
